Gavi (the Vaccine Alliance): The Starting Line

M&C Saatchi and Gavi (the Vaccine Alliance) have launched "The Starting Line", a campaign designed to mobilise athletes, content creators, and media to highlight the importance of equal access to vaccines.

The title is a powerful metaphor, drawing a parallel between sport and life itself, symbolising the idea that every child deserves an equal chance at the starting line of life. The campaign will run through this summer's Paris Olympics, featuring a lineup of sporting champions, including former French footballer Robert Pires, Olympic gold medalist and former swimmer Laure Manaudou, breakdancer Junior Bosila Banya, professional footballer Ada Hegerberg, and Olympic gold medalist Sir Mo Farah.

In addition to raising awareness, four key events will take place in major markets, where athletes and campaign advocates will engage with politicians to urge them to take action and continue funding Gavi. The goal is to ensure children around the world have access to life-saving vaccines, leveling the playing field and giving them the same opportunities for a healthy start in life. The campaign also includes a series of popularization videos featuring content creators like Michel Cymes and Max Klymenko, along with the launch of a website where people can assess their own position on “The Starting Line” of life.
